Centre Approves Rs. 1,611.64 Cr for Flood Relief & Fire Services Across Multiple States
Union Home Minister Amit Shah-led HLC approves Rs. 707.97 Cr for Assam & Gujarat flood relief, and Rs. 903.67 Cr for Haryana, MP, Rajasthan fire services modernization.

- Rs. 707.97 Cr additional NDRF assistance to Assam (Rs. 313.69 Cr) and Gujarat (Rs. 394.28 Cr) for 2024 floods
- Rs. 903.67 Cr approved for Expansion & Modernization of Fire Services in Haryana (117.19 Cr), Madhya Pradesh (397.54 Cr), Rajasthan (388.94 Cr)
- In FY 2025-26, Rs. 13,603.20 Cr released under SDRF to 27 States; Rs. 2,024.04 Cr under NDRF to 12 States
- Additional releases include Rs. 4,571.30 Cr from SDMF to 21 States and Rs. 372.09 Cr from NDMF to 9 States
- Shows government support in line with PM Modi’s leadership for disaster preparedness and mitigation
