India’s Electronics Component Scheme Surpasses Target with ₹1.15 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals
New Delhi, 02 Oct 2025 – The Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) has attracted ₹1,15,351 crore investment proposals, nearly double the target, set to create 1.42 lakh direct jobs and strengthen India’s electronics value chain.

- ₹1,15,351 crore investment proposals vs. target of ₹59,350 crore (2x higher).
- 249 applications received from domestic & global industry players.
- 1,42,000 direct jobs projected (above the target of 91,600).
- Expected production: ₹10.34 lakh crore in 6 years (vs. target ₹4.56 lakh crore).
- Scheme approved on 1 May 2025 with an outlay of ₹22,919 crore.
- Application window: May–Sep 2025.
- Minister Vaishnaw urged states to leverage the scheme for youth employment.
