PM Modi Launches ₹35,440 Cr Agricultural Schemes for Farmers’ Self-Reliance

11 Oct 2025, New Delhi: PM Modi launched two major schemes worth ₹35,440 crore – PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (₹24,000 Cr) and Dalhan Atmanirbharta Mission (₹11,440 Cr) – focusing on self-reliance, productivity, and rural empowerment.

Key Highlights:

  • PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and Dalhan Atmanirbharta Mission aim to boost productivity, income, and nutrition for crores of farmers.
  • District Focus: PM Dhan Dhaanya targets 100 districts selected based on crop output, crop cycles, and access to institutional credit, integrating 36 government schemes for holistic development.
  • Pulse Mission: Dalhan Atmanirbharta Mission aims to expand pulse cultivation by 35 lakh hectares, improve procurement, storage, and processing, benefiting nearly 2 crore pulse farmers.
  • Sectoral Impact: Over 5,450 Cr projects inaugurated in agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and food processing; 815 Cr worth of projects’ foundation stones laid, including aquaparks, trout fisheries, and smart fishing harbors.
  • Modern Farming & Women Empowerment: Initiatives like Namo Drone Didis, natural farming clusters, and 70,000 trained Krishi Sakhis are enabling women-led adoption of modern and eco-friendly practices.
