Today on 3rd Sep 2025, TRAI has released the Indian Telecom Services Performance Indicators Report, highlighting growth in subscribers, revenue, and broadcasting services.
Internet Crosses 1 Billion
- Mar 2025: 969M → Jun 2025: 1003M (+3.5%)
- Broadband: 980M (+3.8%)
- Narrowband: 23M (decline)
- Wireless Internet: 958M (dominant)
- Wired Internet: 45M

Wireline Comeback
- Subscribers: 47.5M (+28% QoQ, +35% YoY)
- Tele-density: 2.6% → 3.4%
Telecom Subscribers
- Total: 1218M (+1.5%)
- Urban: 680M | 134% Tele-density
- Rural: 539M | 59% Tele-density
- Wireless (incl. 5G FWA): 1171M
- 5G FWA users: 7.9M
Revenue & Usage
- Gross Revenue (GR): ₹96,646 Cr (↓1.6% QoQ, ↑12% YoY)
- Adjusted GR (AGR): ₹81,325 Cr (+2.7% QoQ, ↑15% YoY)
- License Fee: ₹6,506 Cr (+2.6% QoQ)
- Wireless ARPU: ₹186.6/month (+2% QoQ, ↑19% YoY)
